Jody Trehy graduated from UCD with a degree in English and French, winning two academic prizes along the way. He also studied Sound Engineering in Ballyfermot Senior College, Dublin, graduating in 1995.
As a sound engineer, he works principally as a sound designer for musical theatre in Ireland and the UK. Recent projects include Celtic Rising (Burlington Hotel), HMS Pinafore (Buxton Opera House) and Pirates of Penzance (National Concert Hall). He is looking forward to productions of The Wizard of Oz (Wexford Opera House) this Christmas and Fiddler On The Roof (Gaeity Theatre) March 2011.
Jody is also a singer-songwriter and has written music and lyrics for several musical theatre projects to date, most notably, the musical comedies: Eejit Of Love (Samuel Beckett Centre, Pavilion Theatre, Focus Theatre- Dublin: 2008/9) and Macbecks (Olympia Theatre, Dublin and Cork Opera House: 2009).
