Padraig O’Neill has been described by Froots magazine “as one of Ireland’s greatest talents”. Padraig is an exceptionally talented fiddle player who hails from a family of accomplished musicians from North Dublin. He began learning both classical and traditional Irish violin/fiddle aged 7.
Having won the famed Fiddler of Dooney title, along with the Feile Oriel, and Michael Coleman competitions, he has won county and provincial titles as well as 9 All-Ireland titles. Padraig first toured North America and Canada with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann when he was just 16. Since then he has played alongside many renowned artists including Phil Coulter, Altan, Dervish and Frankie Gavin to name a few. He has performed in venues such as The Sheldon Concert Hall St. Louis, Radio City Music Hall New York,The National Concert Hall, The INEC Killarney and Dublin Castle.
Padraig regularly tours The United States and Europe playing at various concerts and festivals, and has travelled as far afield as Russia and South Korea playing with Comhaltas, Gaelforce, Electric Ceiliand Buaic amongst others.
