Peter Canning – Lighting & Creative Director

Peter Canning graduated from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, the UK’s premier television design college, in 1995 and formed High Resolution Lighting Ltd. in 1997. High Res is a Dublin based design company specialising in creative and technical delivery of lighting, projection and multi-disciplinary interactive systems for both permanent and semi-permanent installations.

Over the years the company has invested in state-of-the art lighting design tools, unique to Ireland, such as 3D rendering suite WYSIWYG. Of late, with recent development in technology and the merging of lighting and video control systems, High Res has introduced such new LED video technologies into the Irish market. Through the use of Catalyst media servers, Peter merges lighting and video systems, creating digital scenery for the likes of television sets and corporate events.

Peter’s skills include realistic design integration & management of a variety of disciplines, while successfully working within physical and logistical constraints. Over the years Peter have successfully implemented design, production and support services on some of the largest events both in Ireland and Internationally.
